The Opus Plasma is the next generation of fractional skin resurfacing, offering more effective results than traditional laser treatments with significantly less downtime. At Renewal Aesthetics & Sexual Wellness, we proudly provide Opus Plasma, one of our latest and most advanced technologies. This treatment addresses texture, acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, dullness, and pigmentation concerns. Using radiofrequency and micro-plasma energy, Opus Plasma creates thousands of tiny micro-injuries, stimulating the surrounding skin to repair itself through the body’s natural wound-healing response. This process produces new collagen and elastin, the building blocks of smooth, youthful skin. Like most laser skin resurfacing treatments, Opus Plasma removes only a fraction of the skin in the targeted area, ensuring effective results with minimal recovery time.
The Opus Plasma device operates at over 40MHz and charges the tiny metal pins on the device’s tip to a high radiofrequency voltage. The technique is similar to microneedling but far more advanced, with exceptional precision and unique capabilities to control the time that contact is made with the skin. This minimizes unwanted and unnecessary inflammation that typically leads to longer recovery times. The adjustable intensity makes it versatile for treating light, moderate, or aggressive skin concerns. It addresses superficial and complex textural and skin-quality issues traditionally corrected with conventional fractional or full-field ablative lasers.
Because the treatment’s intensity can be adjusted, almost anyone with skin concerns is a good candidate for an Opus Plasma procedure. Depending on the setting, it produces results similar to an aggressive CO2 laser or a gentle laser peel with less downtime and a higher safety profile.
The Opus Plasma treatment and recovery time is minimal compared to other laser treatments, with benefits including:
The Opus Plasma offers exceptional versatility by treating various body parts, including the face, neck, stomach, legs, and buttocks. It is suitable for most skin types and works for both men and women looking to reverse sun damage and the natural aging process. An Opus Plasma appointment typically takes around 90 minutes. Schedule a consultation to develop a tailor-made treatment plan that addresses your specific goals and areas of concern.
Enhance your Opus experience with conscious sedation, available as an optional add-on. This allows you to rest comfortably throughout your procedure while we achieve optimal results. Opus Plasma is an innovative radiofrequency skin resurfacing technology using microplasma energy to improve skin tone, texture, fine lines, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, and acne scars.
We start your treatment session by applying a topical anesthetic to reduce discomfort during your procedure. When the skin is numb, the provider glides the Opus Plasma hand device across the skin. After the procedure, we apply a protective balm. Patients notice slight redness and swelling for 24-48 hours after the treatment. Downtime may be extended with more aggressive treatment settings. You can typically see results after one treatment; however, we recommend 3 treatments to achieve optimal results.
Anyone seeking skin resurfacing treatment is a good candidate for Opus Plasma. It can treat most skin types and is highly effective and beneficial for both men and women.
The innovative platform combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with plasma created when the RF energy emitted from the tips of blunt, non-sharp, rounded metal pins reacts to atmospheric pressure. These tiny metal pins make very small micro-injuries on the skin while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged and producing new collagen and elastin, which build youthful skin.
Most patients tolerate the Opus Plasma treatment, but a topical anesthetic alleviates discomfort.
