PDO Thread Lift

PDO THREAD LIFT

As you age, your body loses volume and elasticity, causing the skin to sag. This often leads to a search for effective and affordable treatment options. The PDO Thread Lift, is designed to subtly lift facial features, smooth wrinkles and fine lines, and tighten skin without requiring expensive or invasive surgery. Made of Polydioxanone (PDO), these threads are ideal for areas of the face such as the cheeks, eyebrow area, and jowls. They can also lift the skin on the neck, stomach, thighs, upper arms, and above the knees by supporting tissue that has lost its structure, providing immediate results.

PDO threads come in various textures, allowing customized treatments to improve skin texture, smooth fine lines, and restore lost elasticity. This procedure creases volume in the treated area by contracting fat tissue to tighten the skin. Once the threads are inserted, the skin is rejuvenated and lifted. PDO Threads are tiny, dissolvable suture threads inserted into the deeper layers of the skin using small needles. Their placement causes the natural production of collagen, which enhances volume in the treated area by contracting fat tissue and leading to tighter, more youthful skin.

Before beginning your treatment, a numbing is applied to the treatment area. The procedure usually takes less than one hour, depending on the treated areas. PDO Threads are strategically inserted into the subcutaneous fat below the skin, providing immediate results in the targeted areas. Immediate swelling can be expected with initial healing time being 3-4 weeks. You can resume your regular activities immediately after treatment, though it is recommended to wait 24 hours before engaging in any strenuous exercise. The threads begin dissolving at about 4 months. The matrix of collagen that is stimulated is what maintains results. Retreatment is typically done between 1 and 2 years.
